Memphis based Soul-Jazz-Funk saxophonist and vocalist Hope Clayburn is on a mission to move the people. Her unique and energetic style has allowed her to perform with an eclectic mix of artists around the world, including The Temptations, The Allman Brothers Band, Snarky Puppy and James Brown. She has appeared on notable TV programs such as PBS’s Sun Studio Sessions and Austin City Limits with Grammy nominated artist Valerie June.

Hope’s unique saxophone/flute playing is inspired by legends like Maceo Parker, Charlie Parker and Bobbi Humphrey. She mixes her sax playing with her powerful soul-rock vocals influenced by the vocals stylings of Arthea, Prince,Tina and Stevie to make her a diverse and interesting musical force.

Hope can mainly be found in Memphis,TN recording and performing with a wide variety of artists like Almost Elton John, Lucky 7 Brass band and her own ensemble ‘Hope Clayburn’s Soul Scrimmage’.

Their latest album/vinyl record ‘Y’ALL SO LOUD!’ features Hope’s original music and is out now on all streaming platforms and the vinyl is in all Memphis record shops.

You can also catch her with Grammy nominated artist Ashton Riker & The Memphis Royals at the legendary B.B. King’s Blues Club most Thursday nights.
