Free as a highway wildflower and strong as that old delta wind Arkansas native Amber Rae Dunn and her band the Mulberries blend soul, blues and traditional country effortlessly into a unique sound with a familiar downhome vibe. Since moving back to Memphis from Nashville in the past 5 years Dunn has been nominated for Tennessee Music Awards Female Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year, Arkansas Country Music Awards Female Vocalist of the Year, won Nash NEXT top Country Artist of the Mid-South, and held title as the Memphis Songwriters Associations Vice President for four as well and finding time to co-host Meet Me in Memphis Songwriter Night at South Main Sounds. As busy as she stays, Dunn never forgets where she's from and who has made it all possible and that love for her fans shows in her honest, creative, somewhat whimsical approach to songwriting. When asked why she decided to stay in Memphis she laughs saying "who's the King of Memphis Blues? B.B. King, and who's the King of Memphis Rock-n-Roll? Elvis Presley, so who's the Queen of Memphis Country? Amber Rae Dunn" and that's exactly who she plans to be!
